In many cases the photographer of a historic photos (most of the black and white photos) is unknown, and the captions will not mention a photographer. We encourage any person who knows the photographer, to contact us, so that we can add his or her name to the photo. In these cases you can use the inventory number of the photo in the caption to contact us.
In cases where the photographer is known, he or she is mentioned in the caption. Depending on the age of the photo and the year of death of the photographer, the photo is either out of copyright or the photographer or his or her estate owns still a copyright.
Before you want to use any of these photos you must contact the Amana Heritage Society using the inventory number of the photo.
